Transmission line construction has a clearly defined finish line. Knowing exactly how close you are to it is the hard part.
When you are managing dozens of segments and hundreds of multi-pole structures, you lose visibility in three critical places at once. You cannot easily see which individual poles are finished. You cannot accurately measure progress according to the owner's specific rules. You cannot find the latest project status buried under a massive pile of daily forms.
At LS Power, KYRO AI tracks transmission line construction from the initial right-of-way all the way to final turnover. Every crew form updates its specific structure, every structure automatically updates its segment, and progress rolls up across 1,198 structures and poles and 70 segments under LS Power's exact rules.
LS Power is a transmission owner currently running three major field programs in KYRO AI: vegetation management and structure upkeep, transmission line construction, and substation inspections. For the construction program, LS Power provided 1,060 structures across 70 segments, which included complex two- and three-pole structures.
New construction must be measured exactly the way LS Power measures it, from right-of-way down to turnover. For example, right-of-way work is not considered fully complete until the final closeout. The last 5 percent of every single structure is strictly held for turnover and acceptance. Foundations cannot start until the right-of-way is ready, and wire never goes up until the foundations are completely done.
LS Power needed a system that measures progress by these exact rules on every single pole, without requiring a project manager to roll up the numbers by hand.
Crews complete their standard inspection forms directly in KYRO AI. Each submission instantly updates that specific structure's progress, and KYRO AI recalculates the entire segment automatically.
Every modern construction tool has a dashboard. Very few measure progress the way the owner does.
By building its own rules into how progress is calculated, LS Power turned its construction dashboard into something it can plan from. Foundation work starts when ROW is ready, structure work starts when foundations are done, and the last 5% waits for acceptance, exactly the way LS Power builds. Across 70 segments, that's the difference between tracking a build and running one.

How does KYRO AI calculate construction progress for LS Power?
Every form submission updates the task's right-of-way, foundation, and structure wire progress. Overall structure completion is calculated as the average of those three, strictly capped at 95 percent. Segment completion is the average structure completion across that entire segment.
Why does KYRO AI track each pole as a separate asset?
Two- and three-pole structures require individual foundation tracking on every single pole. LS Power's original 1,060 structures became 1,198 structures and poles in KYRO AI so that no pole's progress could ever be hidden inside a broader structure-level record.
How does KYRO AI keep a history of construction forms?
Crews update one living submission per form as the physical work advances. Every time they update it, the earlier version is saved automatically as a PDF in the project documents. This keeps the history perfectly filed by asset and form for easy auditing.
